The Government of Switzerland contributes to the creation of new and inclusive economic opportunities in our country.

"The OPTIM project will generate a significant change in the agricultural sector. We believe it is vital that farmers have access to knowledge, resources and technologies to manage the risks associated with climate change. Also, another important dimension is the creation of programs dedicated to women who contribute to agricultural value chains. We want all our farmers to thrive and we enjoy the OPTIM project will be part of this initiative, "said Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea.

The main provisions of the project include: developing socially inclusive economic opportunities; increasing the competitiveness of the private sector in our country by investing in innovative businesses, services, technologies and educational solutions; facilitating access to high-value markets and skilled labor; supporting the private sector in exploring mechanisms to stimulate the provision of relevant services to access more attractive and high-value markets by investing in innovative businesses, services, technologies and educational solutions, as well as improving cooperation between the public and private sectors.

The implementation of new technologies that generate new opportunities for the people of Moldova is, according to Guido Beltrani, Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in the Republic of Moldova, one of the key priorities of the OPTIM project, since its launch in 2019.

"Thanks to innovations, including those supported by OPTIM, Moldovan farmers can grow more high-quality products, increase their revenues and export to high-value markets," said Guido Beltrani.

The project will contribute to improving the job offer and exploring and implementing mechanisms that stimulate the provision of essential services for the private sector. The project also facilitates assistance in policy development to improve the business environment in the agri-food sector.
