OPTIM Project participated in and supported the most notorious event on digitalization and innovation in Moldova.
Being a project with a specific focus on digital transformation, OPTIM Project’s team has joined the Moldova Digital Summit, the most notorious event dedicated to digital transformation and technological innovations. The event took place between 15-17 June in Chisinau. This year’s edition carried the slogan “Evolving towards a future without borders" and brought together a wide spectrum of important stakeholders: leading names from the international ICT industry, government officials, experts, and leaders of the business community and donors. OPTIM Project provided support for the development and organization of the 3-day summit, supported by Switzerland and Helvetas.
The first edition of Moldova Digital Summit “Towards our borderless future”, which took place in the capital Chisinau, transformed Moldova into a true hub in central and eastern Europe, promoting a complex platform for access to important technological resources, expertise, know-how, as well as collaboration and investment opportunities.
The summit offered three days full of sessions and discussions on digital transformation and will bring to the fore international experience on strategies, policies, and legislative frameworks in the field of digital economic development.
The culminating note of the first day of the Summit was the festive gala, organized by the Moldova Innovation Technology Park.
Moldova Innovation Awards Gala was set to recognize and honor the outstanding technological advancements and innovative initiatives that have significantly contributed to the growth and development of the local IT industry. The awards ceremony featured 5 main categories: Best Innovative Product, Best Innovative Service, Impact Initiative of the Year, Rising Startup, and Special Jury Prize. OPTIM’s Team Leader Bojan Kolundzija was invited to present and hand in an important award – the Best Innovative Service.

For that, OPTIM Project will continue to strengthen the capabilities of local ecosystems and, together with partners and synergies with other projects, will accelerate the economic development of Moldova.
OPTIM Project, implemented by Helvetas, has supported the winners of 2 categories: Omnis – the best innovative service (Omnis is an innovative platform that simplifies insurance management) and Fusion Works, awarded with the Special Jury Award (FusionWorks is a leading company providing remote employment solutions).
Helvetas, through OPTIM Project, is thrilled to support the remarkable achievements of individuals, startups, and companies that have demonstrated excellence, creativity, and ingenuity in tech and creative industries in Moldova.
OPTIM will continue to support digitalization and importantly, the project will do so in cooperation with other development partners – placing a strong emphasis on the creation of synergies with other donor-funded initiatives.
