5 agrifood companies to receive 5000 Euros from OPTIM Project for business digitalization

Five agrifood companies from the Republic of Moldova were selected as winners in the Digital Evaluation Program of SMEs, implemented with the support of Switzerland and Helvetas through the OPTIM Project. Each will benefit from a co-financing of 5000 euros.

The pilot program has been successfully completed, and participants claim that as a result of it their companies enjoy a number of benefits. 

"Thanks to the Digital Assessment Program for SMEs and with the advice of expert Vitalie Esanu, we have benefited from assistance in assessing the technical needs of the company. With the  financial support offered, we are one step closer to digital development and will focus on operational efficiency and cost optimization ", said Victoria Shevcenco, deputy director of"SA Cahulpan ", a company that will benefit from co-financing from the OPTIM Project.

"This program was well organized, focused on studying our needs and generating solutions suitable for our business. It was a good model of communication and step-by-step planning of a collaboration with experts. In our case, we benefited from a detailed diagnosis, direct communication with experts, interaction with other participating companies; With the financial resources, we will continue the financing plan of the Power BI solution, "says Victor Nistorică, director of Bakery Bardar, a company that will benefit from co-financing from the OPTIM Project.

The Digital Evalution Programme of SMEs was launched in August 2023. Then, the National Association of ICT Companies, together with the OPTIM Project, supported by Switzerland and implemented by Helvetas, launched the application call for companies interested in gaining a deep understanding of their current digital capabilities to improve their digital strategies, processes, and infrastructure.

Over 40 companies applied, of which 10 most promising were selected to benefit from the Digital Evaluation Program of SMEs. Work in the programme started in September 2023 and took place until the end of December 2023. 

These are the achievements of the "Digital Evaluation Programme of SMEs":

✅ 60 private consultancy sessions

✅ Involvement of 3 prestigious experts

✅ 5 networking sessions for sharing ideas and synergies

✅ 10 custom reports per participating company

In the upcoming months, the 10 beneficiaries will work directly with Andrian Buligari, financial expert and founder of the Fonduri.md platform. Andrian Buligari collaborates with each company in writing and submitting projects aimed at obtaining non-reimbursable funding from ODA – the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship for 2024.

The “Digital Evaluation Program of SMEs” is implemented by ATIC, with the support of OPTIM Project, financed by Switzerland and implemented by Helvetas.
