20 farmers from Cahul, the southern region of Moldova, have signed up for the first workshop to learn how to implement the software iFarms in their households. During the training, participants were guided by digital experts. They practiced various tasks, that might be useful in their activities, such as: registering a field, sharing data, setting up the fleet, connecting sensors, and “reading” the alerts and notifications that the app sends to the user.

Using the iFarms application, farmers can plan time-effective activities, efficiently manage resources (human, material), optimize the use of phytosanitary substances, and much more. As well, through iFarms, the farmers benefit from national and international consultancy remotely.

With Helvetas' support, through the OPTIM Project, iFarms will continue the series of trainings in several districts of Moldova.

iFarms is a mobile application dedicated to improving agricultural processes, launched in 2021, which started from the initiative to monitor processes and optimize decisions in agricultural management.

The digital solution iFarms was developed with the support of Switzerland and Helvetas, through OPTIM Project.
