Young agricultural specialists attend practical lessons in greenhouses to learn about efficient farming
Students from Comrat State University completed the course "Efficient Agriculture in the Greenhouse", gaining access to modern greenhouse cultivation technologies, knowledge and practical skills.

During the course, students studied advanced cultivation methods in protected areas, including:
- Growing tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, cabbages and lettuces in greenhouses
- Applying innovative technologies such as hydroponics
- Effective protective measures and feeding schemes for crops
"Through this program, young people have the opportunity to learn from practice, not just theory. Modern agriculture requires well-trained specialists capable of applying innovative solutions to improve production and efficiency. This course offered students exactly this opportunity, "said Ivan Screlea, executive director of the AgroOguz Association.
A practical visit to a successful model
On March 13, students had the opportunity to apply the new knowledge in practice during a visit to the Holpark greenhouse, theonly one in the country that produces cucumbers during this period due to hydroponic cultivation. This example clearly demonstrates the competitive advantage of growing vegetables in the greenhouse – a technology that can help producers stay active in the market regardless of the season and gain a significant advantage over competitors.

"Hydroponics is not just a trend, but a viable solution for the future of agriculture. Growing in the greenhouse offers stability and predictability to producers, and our young people must understand and adopt these methods to take the agricultural sector in Moldova to a new level", added Iurie Begal, agricultural consultant.
Through such initiatives, AgroOguz and Helvetas Moldova contribute to the formation of a new generation of agricultural professionals, capable of implementing innovative technologies and developing a more sustainable and competitive agricultural sector.
