
Digital transformation in Moldova. The available strategies and implementation in various industries
On June 27, at the Europe Cafe in Chisinau, took place the event "Innovative strategies for global digitalization and their impact on businesses". It was organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, the e-Governance Agency, GIZ, and Helvetas, through the OPTIM Project, in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy in Moldova.

On June 27, at the Europe Cafe in Chisinau, took place the event "Innovative strategies for global digitalization and their impact on businesses". It was organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, the e-Governance Agency, GIZ, and Helvetas, through the OPTIM Project, in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy in Moldova.

The panel was moderated by Evghenia Snitco, Project Officer at the Swedish Embassy, and had as speakers:
- Boris Fillipov, European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova;
- Olga Tumuruc, e-Governance Agency;
- Anna Tibuleac, OPTIM Project, Swiss Development Organization Helvetas.
“Digital transformation is one of the key drivers of economic development. The adoption of digital solutions and technologies improves the efficiency and productivity of our businesses, increasing their competitiveness, which is very important in the context of access to the EU EFTA. The OPTIM Project continues to support companies in their efforts to digitize and adopt new technologies for better access to markets,” said Anna Tibuleac, representative of the OPTIM Project, Swiss Development Organization Helvetas.

The event was aimed at civil society and various industry associations, giving them a platform to explore and discuss innovative strategies for digitalization and their implementation in various industries. The participants learned about the ongoing development projects in the Republic of Moldova and about the benefits that assistance and support provided by the present organizations have brought to them.
At the same time, during this meeting, several success stories of the beneficiaries who had access to the development programs implemented by the European Union Delegation, the e-Governance Agency, GIZ, and Helvetas were presented through the OPTIM Project. These inspirational stories have highlighted how digitization has had a positive impact on the activities and results of these organizations.

In addition to presenting success stories, a wide range of project opportunities involving access to funds for digital transformation across multiple industries were also discussed. Digitalization has been approached as a cross-cutting issue, with implications in almost all areas of activity globally. The participants had the opportunity to explore how the ever-evolving digital landscape will influence the business environment and discover new directions and trends in the field of digitalization.
