Latest trends and best practices in fruticulture: OPTIM Project and Moldova Fruct Association on study visit to Poland
19th January 2024

The visit aims to familiarize Moldovan fruit producers with the latest trends and practices in fruit production and marketing. It is also aimed at taking over the experience of Polish farmers on innovative crown-forming systems, solutions to extend the optimal harvesting time of apples, and the introduction of new prospective varieties.

The mission includes two days of meetings with Polish farmers and companies, where our producers and exporters had the opportunity to explore modern fruit production technologies, perspective varieties, modern sorting and packaging equipment, as well as practical marketing and logistics solutions. Members of the delegation have also visited the TSW 2024 Exhibition in Kielce.

Training initiatives are always welcome and supported as they give fruit producers and entrepreneurs from Moldova the opportunity to take best practices and innovations from one of the most dynamic European fruit markets. The visit will also contribute to the development of partnerships and the transfer of advanced technologies in the fruit sector in the Republic of Moldova.

This study visit was made possible thanks to the support of Switzerland and Helvetas, through the OPTIM Project.
