Nine table grape producers from southern Moldova obtain GLOBALG.A.P. certification and take a step towards the EU market
Nine small and medium-sized table grape producers from the Cahul and Taraclia districts have taken a major step forward by obtaining GLOBALG.A.P. certification - a true “entry ticket” to European Union markets. For these farmers, the certification is the result of a complete shift in production practices.
Over the course of one year, the producers went through an intensive process of training, mentoring, and technical preparation. They learned to apply modern technologies, comply with strict hygiene and food safety requirements, ensure full traceability, keep detailed records, and improve working conditions on their farms. This transformation required discipline, commitment, and a strong sense of responsibility towards consumers.

The nine producers are organised into two groups, representing the first cooperation models of this kind in Moldova. By working together, alongside an experienced exporter and with the support of a national expert, they managed to harmonise their agricultural practices, reduce production costs, and deliver homogeneous batches of table grapes that meet European quality and safety standards.
For many of the farmers, particularly those with long-established practices, the journey was far from easy. It demanded openness to change, continuous learning, and close cooperation. However, these efforts have unlocked real opportunities for economic growth, stable partnerships, and access to high-value markets.

Congratulations to the producers for their determination, hard work, and vision. Their success not only marks a new chapter in their own development but also sets a strong example for other farming communities across Moldova.
