Strengthening Bridges in Policy Making: International Policy Conference 2025 in Chisinau
8th September 2025

The conference brings together a wide spectrum of decision-makers and change-makers from Moldova and the broader Eastern Europe region. Participants will explore how the public sector, private businesses, and civil society can safeguard and expand the space for public dialogue, ensuring that policies reflect the needs of society and drive sustainable development.

Organized in partnership with the European Business Association Moldova (EBA) and the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, and with the support of Helvetas Moldova, the event invites participants to engage in thematic panels, share their experiences, and propose actionable solutions to current policy challenges.

The conference will gather EU and national high-level officials, international and local experts, civil society organizations, business associations, international donors, and public authorities — all united to discuss how comprehensive policy dialogue can support inclusive development in a demanding and rapidly changing political and economic environment.

Among the international speakers confirmed are:

Pavel Telička, former Chief Negotiator of the Accession of the Czech Republic to the EU, former Vice-President of the European Parliament, and the first Czech European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection;

Gert Antsu, Estonia’s Special Envoy for the Eastern Partnership and Director of the Ukraine, Moldova, and South Caucasus Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Through this conference, Helvetas Moldova aims to strengthen collaboration between public institutions, businesses, and civil society, fostering dialogue that will help create policies that are effective, inclusive, and sustainable. The event is a key step towards ensuring that Moldova remains a vibrant, participatory, and forward-looking society.
