Moldovan entrepreneurs improve skills and form new partnerships during study visit to Brașov
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, in cooperation with the Brasov Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized a study visit to Brasov within the Program from Managers "Republic of Moldova – Romania". Over 20 entrepreneurs of SMEs from the Republic of Moldova, from sectors of agri-food, tourism, textiles, business consulting, and others, have improved their managerial skills and established international partnerships.
The 4-day study visit, hosted by the Brasov Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was the second part of the Programs for Managers "Republic of Moldova – Romania". The main objective of the study visit was to establish direct business contacts with partners in the Brasov region, to explore the local business environment, and to study the production and export-import potential in the fields of the participating companies.
During the 4 days, the 20 participants explored the market of the neighboring state, identified potential business partners, also participated in a business forum where individual business meetings and exchange of experience were held, combined with individual and group visits to Romanian companies and clusters.
The Program for Managers "Republic of Moldova – Romania" was implemented in partnership with the OPTIM Project, supported by the Swiss Government and Helvetas.
The program included two components. The first stage consisted of an intensive online training course with experts from Romania. The topics of the seminars were selected based on the beneficiaries' requests and included export strategy, market research to access EU/Romanian markets, effective communication and negotiations within B2B meetings, integrated quality management systems, ISO 9001:2015 standards, ISO22000 and other certifications for the EU market.
The host of this stage of the program was the Brasov Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which contributed to the identification of companies and potential business partners, organizing meetings and group visits, a business workshop at the premises of the room, individual business meetings and visits to enterprises for participants from the Republic of Moldova.
As a result of this pilot project, the beneficiaries in the Republic of Moldova have strengthened their managerial capacities based on the good practices and experience of managers in Romania. Participating companies also had the opportunity to interact with Romanian companies, to identify new business partners and to promote their services and products on the Romanian market.
Thus, Moldovan entrepreneurs have benefited from a deeper understanding of the European Union market and opportunities to promote their products and services in this attractive market.
