To advance and implement efficient horticultural practices, Helvetas Moldova facilitated an experience exchange for its partners at VITROHUB Moldova. This exchange took place in Belgium, allowing participants to visit esteemed producers with over three decades of industry expertise.
The study visit centered around in vitro plant micropropagation, a technique crucial for plant multiplication and rooting. Participants had the unique opportunity to receive practical training in a greenhouse.
This training was conducted at one of Belgium's largest plant and high-quality planting material producers, which records an annual production of over three million plants.
The visit not only provided theoretical knowledge but also practical insights, ensuring that participants could observe and learn from best practices in a real-world setting.
This study visit to Belgium exemplifies Helvetas Moldova’s dedication to equipping local partners with the necessary tools and knowledge to drive sustainable agricultural practices.
