Today freelancing is no longer a hobby, but a preferred alternative to the traditional job with a rigid schedule and a fixed office. Almost 47% of the working-age population around the globe chooses to freelance, enjoying the opportunity to decide tasks independently, working hours, location, employer and even financial remuneration. For a wider variety of projects, freelancers in Moldova turn to international platforms, but the competition goes among thousands of freelancers around the world. Recently, a local company launched the first freelance platform for freelancers from the Republic of Moldova, dedicated primarily to those in the creative industry.

Winwin.md is the new freelance platform launched by the design company DSpirit, with the support of the OPTIM Project and Helvetas. Much like international freelance platforms, both employers and freelancers can place information and employment opportunities in domains as Graphic design, Motion design, 3D modeling, Copywriting, Illustrations, UX & UI design.

Since launch, more than 300 specialists have registered on the platform and over 70 people have carried out various projects. The platform has also become known among top employers in Moldova: over 50 companies have published information about the vacancies "put up for auction", as the platform indicates, and 60 freelancers have found full-time jobs.

Winwin.md is the only platform in Moldova dedicated entirely to practitioners from the Republic of Moldova, but the platform also allows international companies to place projects and collaborate with local specialists.

The platform was developed by DSpirit School of Design in collaboration with the OPTIM Project, supported by Switzerland and Helvetas. Through this intervention, the OPTIM Project aims to provide innovative digital tools for better development of the ICT sector, particularly for employment and additional income for employees or freelancers with a career in IT.
